Yesterday was my 41st birthday; I'm getting older, folks! My girls got really creative (meaning scrambled at the last minute) with this present. While we were at the church for rehearsal before service, one of the girls grabbed a Rice Krispy Treat from the craft services cart and personalized it for dear old dad.

I think it is AWESOME!

The truth of the matter is this. I only have one really good working eye. The expression "blind in one eye and can't see out of the other" describes me perfectly. This particular trip to the eye doctor was interesting in that, by some revelation, he asked if I was up to wearing contacts for a year instead of glasses. This surprised me because his office usually deters the one-eye patients from wearing contacts. I'm not certain if the contact look what I want long term. I assume this is the first sign, but I never saw a second sign. These "no parking between signs" signs need to be more clear.
